This is a bot policy in the making. This is to give a strict guideline and step by step on how bots can get flagged on the Chechen Wikipedia. This policy will be strict because of the high vandalism and political attention attracted to a successful Chechen language Wikipedia. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Official Bot Policy on the Chechen Wikipedia (in English)

Every bot, without exception, must go through the following steps in order to be flagged or even use their bot codes on the Chechen Wikipedia. Without any of these steps, the bot will not be allowed to perform edits, run codes, and have status on the Chechen Wikipedia. The reason for the strict policy is due to the fact that there are many people not satisfied with a successful Chechen Wikipedia, such as Pro-Russian activists and anti-Islamic movements, who could even be fellow helpers on the Wikipedia community. A full trust and understanding needs to be implentend between the Chechen Wikipedia community and the proposed bot.

Steps to become a bot on the Chechen Wikipedia

1. The applying bot must have bot status on at least 50 other Wikipedias, including the English wikipedia

2. The applying bot must not have status on the Russian wikipedia. If the bot is an interwiki bot and has status on the Russian wikipedia, then it must have at least 2 references from the Russian wikipedia, and 2 references from any other Wikipedia. These references must be supplied in English or with an English translation and must be approved by any administrator on the Chechen Wikipedia. (If the bot does not have status on the Russian wikipedia, this step can be ignored)

3. The applying bot must supply a full copy of their code via email to a bureaucrat

4. The applying bot must have an interview via a chat programme (Skype, MSN, AIM, Yahoo, etc.) with a bureaucrat or administrator from the Chechen Wikipedia. This interview could also be done via PM on any other public chat.

5. If the above requirements have been fufilled, the bot will be allowed to run its code on the Wikipedia. It will then be on a trial period for a month whilst his or her edits are closely monitored by the community. If the bot is running successfully, then it will be granted flag status.
